FASTER Asset Solutions is headquartered in Norfolk, VA and was started in 1982 with three employees. Today we are a fully employee-owned company. In addition to our highly qualified support technicians, systems analysts, software engineers and trainers, we have on-staff fleet professionals with real-life experience with running fleet operations performing onsite training and support making us unique in the industry.
The history of our software began with the development of BOS FASTER which was designed for a large city and was successfully installed on an IBM Mainframe. It was ported to a microcomputer environment for installation at a medium-sized city in 1983. In 1995 FASTER Asset Solutions began development of its FASTER version for Windows, FASTER Win. We continue to support and enhance FASTER Win in addition to developing additional software offerings.
January 2010 marked our first customer going live on the newest addition to the FASTER Solution lineup, FASTER Web. Leveraging our years of experience in the fleet industry and tapping the expertise of our on-staff fleet professionals with the user definition and specifications, FASTER Web was designed from the ground up.
From our beginnings, FASTER’s design was tailored to meet the needs of mixed fleets of various sizes and compositions. The majority of our installations are municipal governments with fleets varying in size from 50 to over 11,000.
Even more unique and beneficial than the FASTER software system is the team of employees behind it. With a core staff that has been with FASTER Asset Solutions for over 18 years, we continue to grow with focus on serving our customers and the fleet industry. FASTER Asset Solutions comes with a level of support unmatched in any industry. Software is only one part of the success of any fleet.
